US envoy in Cambodia complains over shooting

The American ambassador in Cambodia has protested over an incident in Phnom Penh in which an embassy car was fired on by military police and one of the occupants wounded.

Another man in the vehicle was arrested.

The Cambodian authorities have acknowledged that a shooting incident occurred as they were trying to apprehend suspects in a fraud case.
