Bomb rocks Algerian capital

. A bomb has exploded in the centre of Algiers, near the university.

Two people have been killed, and hospital sources say there could be more dead.

One report says that one of those killed was planting the bomb when it went off.

It's not yet known who was responsible.

Much of the violence in Algeria, which has claimed eighty-thousand lives in the last five years, has been attributed to Islamic militants.

The explosion followed three blasts in and around Algiers over the past two days, in which nine people died.
