Shots at Martin Luther King day rally - one dead

Shots have been fired at a march in the United States to honour the black civil rights leader, Martin Luther King.

First reports say one person was killed and three others wounded at the parade, in the city of Baton Rouge in the state of Louisiana.

Local police say there was pandemonium among the marchers after a man in the crowd started shooting.

Police say they're still looking for the gunman.

The incident occurred on Martin Luther King day, which is a national holiday throughout the US.

Mr King was killed by an assassin in 1968.
