The car which Damon Hill hopes will give him a realistic chance of another Formula One World Championship has been unveiled in London.

Hill has not driven the Jordan Mugan Honda 198 yet, but the car will get nearly two months of track testing before the first GP of the season on March 8 in Australia.

Team owner Eddie Jordan showed the new car off at a glitzy launch at London's Albert Hall.

The car has to conform to major rule changes this season which are designed to slow them down.

The biggest change is the introduction of grooved tyres to give less grip, there is also a 20cm reduction in the maximum overall width of the car and a ban on computerised links between the accelerator pedal and the engine.

Jordan is keen to secure his first Grand Prix victory, while Hill wants a competitive car to prove his 1996 championship win with the Williams team was not simply a case of driving the fastest car.
