Drugs, ammunition seized in northeast Iran

Nahbandan, Khorasan Province, 19th January: More than two tonnes of opium and 100 kg of heroin were seized by Nahbandan's Law Enforcement Forces on Saturday [17th January], said the head of the Political-Ideological Department of the local law enforcement department Mohammad Baqerpur here Monday.

He added that the narcotics, being hauled by 21 camels, were identified before entering the Iranian territory.

Baqerpur said that a large quantity of ammunition was also seized from the smugglers.
