Titanic wins Golden Globe

The movie "Titanic" has won the Golden Globe award for best dramatic picture at the award ceremony in Los Angeles.

Made at a cost of two-hundred-million dollars, it is reputed to be the most expensive production ever.

Based on the sinking of the ocean liner Titanic in 1912, the film received a mixed reception from the critics, but has been doing well at the box office since it opened in the cinemas late last year.

The movie's director, James Cameron, also won a Golden Globe.

The best actor went to Peter Fonda for his role as a beekeeper in Ulee's Gold and Judy Dench won best actress for her portrayal of Queen Victoria in Mrs Brown.
