Dole focusses attention on missing Bosnians
The head of an international commission, which is trying to discover the fate of tens-of-thousands of missing people in the former Yugoslavia, has appealed for more co-operation after talks in Sarajevo. The commission chairman, the United States former presidential candidate, Robert Dole, said regional leaders wanting help from the international community must play by the rules, and failure to co-operate would be noted. Mr Dole said he had been assured in talks with the Bosnian Muslim and Croat members of the Bosnian collective presidency that a further exhumation of mass graves would take place as scheduled in a couple of months. Mr Dole is also due to meet the Bosnian Serbs, and to have talks in Croatia and Serbia. From the newsroom of the BBC World Service |
