Scotland Yard smashed Turkish drug ring
Police in London say they believe they've smashed a big drugs trafficking network operating between Turkey and Britain, following a series of raids in the British capital. Police seized heroin worth more than three-million dollars two-million pounds on Saturday and arrested a Turkish national. Three days ago, they seized a similar amount of heroin and cocaine, as well as firearms and cash and arrested fourteen people. From the newsroom of the BBC World Service |
