Yeltsin back from holiday

The Russian President, Boris Yeltsin has returned to Moscow and is spending the last day of his holiday reviewing documents, before resuming presidential duties tomorrow Monday.

Mr Yeltsin has spent almost two weeks at a residence in Valday in north-west Russia.

Correspondents say he was sent there by doctors to recover from a viral chest infection which he caught in early December.

Mr Yeltsin's illness has revived the speculation about his basic state of health, which has been going on since his heart operation in 1996.

Mr Yeltsin's spokesman Sergei Yastrzhembsky said the president is scheduled to meet the prime minister, Viktor Chernomyrdin, and other ministers tomorrow.
