Iraqis urged to go for military training
The Iraqi defence ministry has urged all Iraqi men and women to register for training as the row continues over United Nations weapons inspections. It said training courses would begin all over the country from the beginning of next month. The announcement follows President Saddam Hussein's appeal for volunteers in case of a military confrontation with the United States. From the newsroom of the BBC World Service |
