Parliamentary deputies elect new PM
The Bosnian-Serb parliament has ended weeks of wrangling by electing a supporter of the Dayton peace accords, Milorad Dodik, as its new Prime Minister. Mr Dodik, who's supported by the Bosnian Serb President, Biljana Plavsic, has said he's in favour of working with Muslim and Croat leaders in Sarajevo to achieve peace. He and his cabinet were elected after deputies who support the war crimes suspect, Radovan Karadzic, walked out saying Mr Dodik would sell out the interests of the Serbs. The international peace coordinator in Bosnia-Hercegovina, Carlos Westerndorp, said the new government could count on the full support of the international community.
