Authorities in Uganda keep schools shut fearing spread of cholera

The authorities in Uganda have ordered all schools closed to avoid the further spread of a cholera outbreak.

The health ministry has ordered all schools to be checked before they open for the first term.

The order comes as at least three-hundred-forty people have died from the disease in Uganda since the first cases were reported last month.

More than six-and-half-thousand people are reported to have been diagnosed of suffering from the disease.
