Bristol pick up the pieces

Bristol have dropped three players following their Tetley's Bitter Cup fourth-round defeat at Worcester.

The winger Dave Tiueti, hooker Kevin Dunn and number eight Eben Rollitt have all been left out to make way for Kevin Maggs, Fabrice Landreau and Jim Brownrigg for the home tie against Gloucester on Sunday.

Leicester, who are unbeaten at home in seven previous League games against Wasps, field a full-strength side on Saturday, after the centres Will Greenwood and Stuart Potter both passed fitness tests.

The Wasps and England captain Lawrence Dallaglio misses the game due to a bruised shoulder. But the fly-half Alex King, who missed last Sunday's home victory over Gloucester with back spasms, returns.

London Irish, currently bottom of the league with just one win from nine starts, give a home debut to the Australian number eight Matthew Morahan for their tie against Richmond.

Harlequins, who are already out of the Tetley's Bitter Cup and struggling for league consistency, play Northampton Quins on Sunday. The coach Andy Keast is likely to start with the team who took on Saracens last week, but will run fitness checks over the props Jason Leonard and Massimo Cuttitta.

Newcastle, who play Bath, will make just two changes to last Sunday's victorious starting line-up against London Irish. The British Lion, Alan Tait, replaces Martin Shaw in midfield and flanker Richard Arnold takes over from Peter Walton.

The British Lions hero Jeremy Guscott starts his first league match since April last year after recovering from a serious back injury.

The Tetley's Bitter Cup saviour Jon Callard makes way for the England full-back Matt Perry, with Victor Ubogu replacing suspended prop Kevin Yates and John Mallett packing down at loose-head.

The French centre Philippe Sella has failed a fitness test for Saracens' clash with Sale on Sunday. Sale, without a League win since early November, have named a 24-man squad for their Watford trip.

The list includes the New Zealander Shane Howarth, who was forced off with an ankle injury after just eight minutes against Northampton at Franklin's Gardens last Saturday.
