Israeli forces blow up house in South Lebanon

Israeli forces in Southern Lebanon have destroyed the home of a Lebanese man they said was behind the explosion of a booby-trap bomb.

The bomb -- disguised in a video-cassette -- exploded at a border crossing on Wednesday, wounding six people.

The house destroyed by the Israelis belonged to a member of the Amal militia, which said it was responsible for the explosion.

Israel often destroys the homes of Islamic militants in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, but such retaliation is rare in South Lebanon where Israel has declared a security zone.
