New pro Karadzic TV station on the air in Bosnia

A new Bosnian Serb television channel, loyal to the war-time president and war-crimes suspect, Radovan Karadzic, has begun transmission.

The channel -- called S-Kanal -- covers a small area around Mr Karadzic's stronghold of Pale.

Most of the staff are former employees of the Bosnian Serb television network -- now controlled by President, Biljana Plavcic -- who were forced off the air last October for broadcasting what international mediators described as hostile propaganda.
