Another Shi'ite activist killed in Pakistan

Police in Pakistan say an activist of a Shi'ite political party Tehrik-i-Jafria has been killed by unidentified gunmen in the city of Faisalabad in Punjab province.

They said the man, Shaheen Haider, was attacked by two gunmen, who came in a motorcyle.

The attack follows the killing of more than twenty Shi'ite Muslims in Lahore on Sunday.

More than one-hundred and forty people died last year in a wave of sectarian killings in Punjab province involving militant Shi'ite and Sunni Muslim groups.
