Further violence in northern Poland

There has been further violence in the northern Polish town of Slupsk wherebasketball fans and police clashed following the funeral of a boy who died at the weekend.

Several hundred fans threw stones at police.

The worst violence came at the spot where the boy thirteen-year old Przemik Czaja was killed during a clash between basketball fans and police after a match at the weekend.

Some witnesses said he was clubbed by a police officer, others that he ran into a cable while fleeing.

His death was followed by three days of rioting.

Mourners from all over Poland attended the funeral, along with several government representatives.

A policeman has been arrested in connection with the death.
