Iraqi TV shows "confused" arms inspectors "doing nothing"

Iraqi television on Wednesday interrupted its programmes to give coverage to UN weapons inspectors, who it said remained at their Baghdad headquarters confused and doing nothing.

"Brothers, for the second consecutive day, the American Scott Ritter and his team are confused.

"He remained at the headquarters of the UN Special Commission, east of Baghdad, doing nothing.

"He is only remedying his boredom through fumbling, awaiting the unknown, and affirming his imbalance," the TV said.

The television showed a 5-minute video clip of several UN vehicles leaving UN Commission headquarters in Baghdad, and Ritter and members of his team waiting, surrounded by reporters.

Members of the team were shown trying to evade reporter's microphones before returning to their vehicles.
