Airliner lost near Brno found with two bodies aboard

Czech police say they have found the wreckage of the L-410 airliner, flying from Belarus, which was lost from radar as it approached Brno airport on Tuesday evening.

The plane was found just after 0500 on Wednesday with the bodies of its two crewmen aboard, the Czech news agency CTK quoted police and fire officials as saying.

The police said the plane was found in a field outside Brno.

The cause of the crash has not yet been established.

The overnight search was hampered by fog and adverse weather conditions which prevented a helicopter being used in the operation.

Police said the plane was owned by a Polish company.

Earlier ITAR-TASS news agency said the plane had been flying without any passengers and was being ferried to a new customer.
