New lobby group calls for easing of US sanctions against Cuba

The United States Chamber of Commerce has formed a lobby group to press for an end to American restrictions on sales of medicine and food to Cuba.

The group has the support of former government officials and past and present members of Congress.

Spokesmen said most allies of the United States opposed its policy on Cuba, while American industry was missing out on business opportunities.
