Israeli leader wins confidence vote
The Israeli Prime Minister,Binyamin Netanyahu. has survived two opposition motions of no confidence in his coalition government. The resignation of his foreign minister, David Levy, last week left the government with only a slender majority. But the vote on the two motions resulted in a tie, with each side winning fifty-four votes. Mr Levy and four of his supporters voted against the governemnt.
