Turkey reported to ask US for new fighter jets
Reports from Turkey say a decision has been made to buy forty American F-fifteen fighter aircraft. The reports, quoting senior Turkish generals, said a formal request had been made to the Pentagon in Washington, and linked it with proposed American military aircraft sales to Greece. There's been no separate confirmation of the Turkish move. From the newsroom of the BBC World Service |
