Taiwanese PM in Philippines

The Taiwanese Prime Minister, Vincent Siew, has arrived in the Philippines on apreviously unannounced visit.

Mr Siew is expected to discuss the regional financial crisis with leaders of the Asian Development Bank and President Fidel Ramos.

He is due to meet up with a delegation of Taiwanese business leaders which is on a tour of south-east Asia to seek investment opportunities.
