Jewish-Iranian contacts
An Israeli rabbi says there have been secret contacts with Iranian religious leaders in recent weeks in an attempt to arrange a visit to Jews in Iran. Rabbi Menahem Fruman told Israel Radio there was no official involvement but he had informed the government of the efforts. He gave no details of the contacts.
