Five dead in Japanese shipwreck
Five members of the crew of a Japanese trawler have died and two others are missing after their boat capsized in storms off the Kuril Islands in the northern Pacific. The Russian news agency ITAR -TASS says the accident happened in Russian territorial waters off the island of Iturup. The bodies of the five dead men have been brought to Nemuro on the Japanese island of Hokkaido. From the newsroom of the BBC World Service |
