Afghan women protest
Afghan women refugees in Baluchistan province in Pakistan have called for international help in raising the status of women in Afghanistan. About two-hundred traditionally dressed women attended the rally in the city of Quetta yesterday. They said that both the Taleban and the previous administration of Burhanuddin Rabbani had put restrictions on women, and unless this issue was resolved there could be no permanent solution to the Afghan crisis.
