Ex-President Collor's Brazilian presidency bid off again

A court in Brazil has upheld a ban on the former president, Fernando Collor de Mello running again for office -- just days after another court said the way was now clear.

Mr Collor, who lives in the United States, had said he would launch a bid to recapture the presidency during the election later in the year.

But the latest ruling appears to reinforce the ban imposed on him when he resigned in 1992 amid allegations of corruption.
