New York share markets drop

Shares on the New York stock exchange have fallen sharply in response to the downward spiral of shares on Asian markets.

The Dow Jones index of industrial shares showed a drop of more than two-hundred points almost three per centin Friday trading, mirroring a day of falls on the main Asian markets.
