New checks on 200 Boeing aircraft

The Federal Aviation Administration in the United States has ordered immediate checks on more than 200 Boeing 737 aircraft after a crash last month in Indonesia in which more than a-hundred people were killed.

Operators are being directed to check fasteners and bolts on the tail of newer models.

The 737 is the world's most commonly used commercial jet aircraft, with nearly 3,000 delivered by Boeing in various models.
