Freed Pakistanis arrive home from Saudi Arabia
A group of at least twelve Pakistani children and one woman have arrived home after being released in Saudi Arabia where they were being held on drug charges. The group were first arrested in Jeddah at the beginning of last year and their case was taken up by the human rights group, Amnesty International. Some of them told reporters at Lahore airport that they had been deceived by relatives into carrying heroin in capsules in their stomachs. From the newsroom of the BBC World Service |
