Cambodian opposition leader trusts Hun Sen

The Cambodian opposition politician, Sam Rainsy, says he has begun to establish a relationship based on trust with the country's leader, Hun Sen.

Mr Rainsy told the BBC that, at a meeting last month, he urged Hun Sen to begin negotiations with all his political opponents to bring about a ceasefire which would pave the way for a lasting peace in Cambodia.

He said Hun Sen is now having to be more flexible about reaching a settlement with his rivals because of international pressure.
