International audit possible for last month's Guyana poll
The election commission in Guyana says it's thinking of obtaining an international audit for last month's general election, which has been described as fraudulent by the opposition People's National Congress. The commission said if it decided to go ahead with the audit, it would be carried out by Caribbean personalities and electoral reform organisations. The election was won by Janet Jagan and her People's Progressive Party. From the newsroom of the BBC World Service |
