Khatami denies Iran seeking nuclear weapons

President Khatami also denied that Iran is trying to develop nuclear weapons, but he said it had the right to have access to peaceful nuclear energy.

President Khatami said Iran was a party to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and would abide by international regulations.
