Colombian generals sacked after rebel success
The Colombian government has dismissed two generals following an attack last month during which left-wing rebels overran an army base.

Ten soldiers were killed in the attack, and a further 18 were taken prisoner by the guerrillas of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia.

The army has sent 4,000 troops to the country's southern jungles to search for the missing men.

In June, the rebels set free 60 government soldiers after holding most of them for ten months, but only after the government agreed to withdraw from contested territory.
