Ecuador president blames political parties for unrest
A spokesman for the Ecudorean president, Fabian Alarcon, says opposition parties are using students to stage demonstrations against the government's economic policies. The spokesman, Jose Luis Castillo, blamed the leftist Democratic Popular Movement for a series of protests this week by students in the capital, Quito.
