Far-right Czech politician arrested
The leader of the Czech far-right Republican Party, Miroslav Sladek, has been remanded in custody after being arrested on Tuesday. He was detained as he was leaving the parliament building, after repeatedly failing to appear before a court on charges of inciting racial hatred. They are said to be linked to his statement last year that not enough Germans had been killed during the Second World War. His parliamentary immunity had been subsequently lifted.
