Russian composer Georgiy Sviridov dies in Moscow

The Russian composer Georgiy Sviridov has died in Moscow at the age of 82, ITAR-TASS news agency reported.

Sviridov died early on Tuesday in the city's Central Clinical Hospital as a result of a heart attack which he suffered on 11th December, his wife Elza Sviridova said.
