Forty die in Zimbabwe bus crash

A bus crash in a mountainous eastern region of Zimbabwe has left forty people dead.

More than sixty others were injured, many of them seriously, in the accident near Nyanga.

Police said the bus was carrying at least twenty-five passengers more than it was licensed to.

The Zimbabwean news agency Ziana says that in 1991, eighty-nine schoolchildren and teachers were killed in an accident involving a bus from the same company on the same road.
