Britain and Trinidad sign agreement on drugs
Britain and the Caribbean state of Trinidad are due to sign an agreement aimed at increasing cooperation in the fight against the illegal drugs trade. The Mutual Legal Assistance Agreement to be signed in the Trinidadian capital, Port of Spain, in a few hours time, will allow the two countries to share court orders and evidence from drug-related cases. They'll also be able to seize the property of convicted drug dealers in either country. From the newsroom of the BBC World Service |
