Kashmir Child Deaths Inquiry

The authorities in Indian administered Kashmir say an inquiry is to be held into the deaths of five children at a hospital in the capital, Srinagar.

The children died of different causes on Sunday night.

Relatives say there were no doctors available to treat them.

Doctors deny this and say that the children were only admitted when their illnesses were already far advanced.

Friends and families of the dead children held a demonstration outside the hospital.

A committee of four senior doctors has been appointed to look into the deaths.
