Tickets for princess Diana's burial site go on sale

Around ten-thousand advance tickets to visit the burial site of Diana, Princess of Wales have been sold on the first day of their being made available to the public.

Organisers say about five-hundred people got through to the sales office every hour, with many more left disappointed by jammed telephone lines.

Visitors this coming summer will be able to tour the Princess' ancestral home, Althorp Park in the English Midlands, and go to a museum devoted to her life.

They won't however be allowed to set foot on the lake island where she is buried.
