A train driver involved in a fatal train crash in the north Indian state of Uttar Pradesh has been suspended, along with three other railway employees.

The accident happened when a passenger train is reported to have run into the back of another in thick fog.

The railway authorities say forty nine bodies had been recovered and that the crash appeared to have been caused by human error.

The federal Railway Minister, Ram Vilas Paswan was met by angry relatives of the victims when he visited the crash site today
