Colombia guerrilla kidnap engineers

Police in Colombia say leftist rebels in the northwest of the country have kidnapped two engineers and a driver working for the country's largest public utility company.

Reports say the guerrillas blocked a highway by setting fire to a tractor trailer to prevent the police from following them.

Last year, Colombia's oldest rebel force, the FARC, blew up the main control room at the plant.

Earlier, the police said they had arrested a local chief of one of the leftist guerrilla groups in the same area.

The officials say Nelson Lopez was in charge of a ELN group in Antioquia province.
