Three die in car ambush in Peru
Police in Peru say three people died when their car was ambushed by armed men in the capital, Lima. The widow of a congressman and their ten-year old daughter were among those killed. The authorities say the victims were travelling with a family friend when a car with no number plates blocked their path. Witnesses say at least three men with submachine guns leapt out of the car and opened fire. The congressman, Mario Paredes Cuvea, died of cancer last year.
