Wasps beat both the weather and Harlequins to go through to the fifth round of the Tetley's Bitter Cup.
Quins scored four tries to the Wasps' three, but Gareth Rees's kicking took the last year's champions to a 24-21 win at their Loftus Road home. The London derby was the only game on Sunday to survive atrocious weather.
Harlequins were always chasing from then on and Rees widened the gap when he kicked the first of four penalties five minutes later.
But Harlequins fought to the end, wing Jamie Williams scoring a hat-trick of tries.
