Sudanese death sentence for mosque attack

A Sudanese court has sentenced a man to death for killing two worshippers in a mosque in October.

The death sentence on Abdul Halim Abdul Raziq was passed after the relatives of the dead men refused financial compensation.

He is said to have been a member of a fundamentalist Muslim group, Takfir wi el-Hijra, and to have regarded the worshippers at the mosque as infidels.
