Kenya's President Moi inauguarated

The Kenyan President, Daniel Arap Moi, has been sworn-in for a fifth term, after being declared the winner of last week's presidential election.

Addressing several thousand supporters, Mr Moi said his next government would be more sensitive to the needs of the people.

He said he was fully aware of the need to improve the infrastructure and fight corruption.

Mr Moi, who is one of Africa's longest-serving leaders, gained over forty-per-cent of the vote -- about ten-per-cent ahead of his closest rival, Mwai Kibaki.
