Turkish reportedly foil airbase bomb plot

Police in southern Turkey say they've detained two left-wing activists and foiled a plot to bomb the Incirlik airbase, which is used to patrol the air exclusion zone in northern Iraq.

The police say the two activists were found with bombs and sketch maps of the base, which houses Turkish, British and US planes.

They're reported to be members of the Marxist group, the DHKP-C .

The DHKP-C is a successor organisation to the Dev Sol group, which has admitted killing politicians and members of the security forces.
