Third game drawn in FIDE chess final

CHESS: The Indian grandmaster, Vishwanathan Anand, and the defending champion, Anatoly Karpov of Russia, have drawn the third game in the World Chess Federation final.

Karpov took more than half an hour on the fifteenth move, and the players agreed to a draw on the nineteenth move.

Each player has won one game in the six-match series being played in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Commentators say that the quicker-thinking Anand will have the advantage in the quickplay games that will decide the outcome if they remain tied at the end of the series.
