Emirates medical aid to Iraq

Iraq says it's taken delivery of another shipment of medical supplies donated by the United Arab Emirates.

A ship arrived at the port of Umm Qasr carrying forty-four containers supplied by the UAE Defence Minister and Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum.

Over the past two years, several shipments of food and medicines for the Iraqi people have arrived from the UAE.

They have called several times for the lifting of the embargo imposed on Baghdad after it invaded Kuwait in 1990.
